New Delhi, Oct 1: Managing Director, J&K State Industrial Development Corporation Amit Sharma represented J&K state at two prestigious conferences at New Delhi, one organized by PHDCCI and other by Business World-Smart Cities wherein he emphasized on J&K’s role in accelerating industrial growth for moving with the pace of growth & development happening all across the nation.
While attending inaugural session of national conference on accelerating industrial growth at PHDCCI House in the morning, MD J&K SIDCO Amit Sharma stressed upon bringing disruptive innovation in industrial sector which becomes the game-changer at the end of the day. He described ‘disruptive innovation’ as a process of introducing a new technology which ultimately leads towards weeding-out completely old technologies in-vogue.
He was very much vocal in mentioning disruptive innovations as the future of industrial growth and welcomed all major national and international players to be a part of this silent but revolutionary way of leading industrial growth in the state. He mentioned that all such disruptive innvotation technology-based projects are key thrust areas of J&K SIDCO in all industrial estates falling within its ambit. Other panelists with MD SIDCO in this inaugural session were Pradeep Khanna, CEO Global Mindset, Ambassador Pradeep Kapur, Visiting Prof, University of Maryland (through Video Conferencing), Ashwani Gupta, Scientist ‘G’, Department of Scientific & Industrial Research, Ministry of S&T, GoI, Alok B. Shriram, President, PHDCCI, S.K Sarkar, Chairman, Committee on Innovation, PHD Chamber and Saurabh Sanyal, Secretary General, PHDCCI who also expressed their views on accelerating industrial growth.
Apart from this, MD SIDCO also participated in another invigorating Conference in the evening organized by Business World on Smart Cities with the caption “Thinkathon”. He talked about Rethinking Urban Infrastructure & Mobility in this Conference alongwith other fellow panelists Sanjay Jaju, Director NHIDCL, Ministry of Road Trasport & Highways, GoI, Ranbir S Das, Chairman, Fairwood Group, Nitin Sukh, Group Executive VP, Yes Institute, Yes Bank, and Hemant Sahai, Managing Partner, HSA Advocates.
It is worthwhile to mention here that due to such novel initiatives of MD SIDCO J&K has been getting regular attention in such national and international conferences which helps not only to enhance state’s image in the eyes of people who had drawn negative image about state but also invariably attracts major investments in the state in times to come.
