NEW DELHI : Parliament today passed the amended Lokpal Bill, which seeks to establish anti-corruption watchdogs at the Centre and states.
The Lokpal and Lokayuktas Bill, 2011 was passed by a voice vote sans debate with the Lok Sabha agreeing to amendments passed by the Rajya Sabha yesterday.
The passage of the Bill witnessed strong protests by the Samajwadi Party, which walked out of the House alleging that the Bill would create anarchy and chaos in the decision making. (AGENCIES)
