AMEAK reiterates relocation, takes exception to statements

JAMMU, Aug 5: All Migrant Employees Association Kashmir (AMEAK) has taken a “strong exception” to deliberate attempts of sabotaging the demand of package and non package employees protesting in support of their one point demand of relocation for last 84 days.
In a statement, the president of the Association, Satish Raina, senior vice president, Rubon Saproo and vice President, Ranjan Jotshi said that some persons associated with different political parties and organizations were trying to set a discourse that the real problems faced by the package employees in Kashmir is merely an issue of accommodation, which is not true but an attempt to shift the focus of Government from our actual demand of relocation to other issues of personal interests like transfers to convenient offices within Kashmir Valley, promotions, accommodation and other service matters.
They said that the employees body AMEAK rejected all such statements and press communiqués wherein the protesting employees were said to be demanding address to their individual service matters. They warned such individuals of their subversive designs and made it clear that the main demand of the package employees is their relocation outside Kashmir Valley which is the only solution to save their lives at the moment.
Prior to May 12, 2022 package employees may have raised various demands but all such demands and grievances stand irrelevant after the series of recent genocidal killings. Currently all Kashmiri Pandit employees serving in Kashmir Valley have only one demand, i.e. relocation outside Kashmir valley after the incident of May 12.
This is the only and the immediate solution to safeguard lives of over 4000 genocide victim Kashmiri Pandit employees serving in Kashmir valley, they added.
