AMCCC’s concern over deletion of names from election records

Excelsior Correspondent
JAMMU, May 10 : All Migrant Camp Coordination Committee (AMCCC) has expressed serious concern over the deletion of names of various migrant families and bonafide and genuine voters from the records meant for framing of epic cards.
In a statement issued here today Desh Rattan president of the organization said that maximum names of bonafide voters are missing in the forms and it is a cause of concern for the community. He said since the epic cards are a valid document needed for the identification and other purposes, the genuine and bonafide migrant voters names have not been included in these forms.
He said the displaced students and youth undergoing training or serving in different parts of the country need these cards most for their identification etc and they were eagerly waiting for the preparation of epic cards but after the names of most such people are missing in the list they feel disgusted.
Mr Rattan in an appeal to concerned authorities has urged them to review this entire process by including the names of all genuine and bonafide migrant voters in the lists so that they are not deprived of epic cards this time.
