JAMMU, Mar 11: A delegation of All Migrant Camp Coordination Committee (AMCCC) led by its president Desh Rattan today called on Deputy Chief Minister, Dr Nirmal Singh and Minister of Relief and Rehabilitation, Law and Parliamentary Affairs Basharat Bukhari and apprised them of various problems being faced by the displaced Pandits.
The delegation also submitted a memorandum to them highlighting the problems.
It demanded removal of encroachments from KPs land in Valley, reservation of seats for the community in legislature and other political bodies, construction of two more townships on pattern of Jagti at Jammu, cancellation of M Forms for exercising the right to franchise, implementation of old age pension scheme for the community, reshuffle in relief organization, assigning powers of ZOs to Relief Commissioner, separate funds for the KPs, healing touch policy be applied to migrants, construction of road from Kandoli to Jagti, posting of staff in Jagti hospital, plying of more SRTC buses from Jammu to Jagti, renovation of water supply scheme in Jagti and 20 hour power supply in Jagti township.
R N Dhar, Ravinder Pandita, R L Sharma, Daljeet Singh, M L Munshi, C L Raina, R N Pandita and Zahoor Ahmed Wani were among others in delegation.
