JAMMU, Aug 3: A delegation of All Migrant Camps Coordination Committee (AMCCC), led by Desh Rattan Pandita called on Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Dr Pawan Kotwal here today and apprised him of the water crisis in Jagti camp.
The delegation informed the Divisional Commissioner that water crisis have added to the problems of camp inmates. The delegation demanded installation of tube wells and water plant on the pattern of erstwhile camps of Mishriwala, Purkhoo and Muthi at Jagti so that the problem is solved once for all.
The delegation also demanded supply of water through tankers during the crisis.
The Divisional Commissi-oner issued on spot directions to Chief Engineer PHE to send a team of Ground Water Level Department to Jagti camp and work out the construction of under ground tube well so that the people may not suffer any more.
He also issued directives to the concerned authorities to send water tankers to Jagti camp for supply of portable water to the camp inmates there.
The other members of the delegation included K V, M L Munshi, P N Jalali, B L Koul, Chand Koul, C L Raina and K S Bedi.
