JAMMU, Dec 13: Activists of Jammu West Assembly Movement (JWAM) here today staged a protest demonstration against the traffic problem in the city.
The protest was led by JWAM leader, Sunil Dimple who while addressing the protesters said though the Traffic Police has started home delivery of challans for wrong parking yet there is no respite from the traffic problems.
He said that Traffic Police has issued a warning to lift the vehicles for wrong parking but there are no sufficient parking places in the city.
The JWAM leader also said that Ambphalla-New Plot-Janipur road along with other parts of Jammu city are facing traffic problems.
He said that home delivery of challans will not solve the traffic problems prevailing in the city.
Dimple said that the SSP Traffic Jammu has issued a fresh warning to the traders and vehicle owners to take care of their vehicles as after December 16 special drive will be started in Jammu to lift and seize their vehicles.
Dimple demanded immediate construction of parking spots in Jammu city to avoid wrong parking.
Swarn Lal, Mohinder Lichi, Daleep Kumar, S. Tarlok Singh, S. Kala Singh, Ricky Bhasin, Balu Kumar, Sanjay Gupta, Dr Sham Saroop, Manjeet Anand, Sachin Soi, Chaman Pawar and others were also present in the protest.
