JAMMU, July 27: Amidst the gloom of Coronavirus, Amazon USA has published a book named ‘Pleasures of Life’, which is written by a Kashmiri doctor (psychiatrist).
Authored by C L Ganjoo (MD), ‘The pleasures of Life’ is a simple light stuff and describes our life’s preoccupations and passions. The book is full of gripping love-stories and tales of our day-to-day concerns, and suggests a balanced and conflict-free happier life style.
Psychoanalytic notes and explanations make for plenty of amusement as they help to peep into the real motives of our actions. The book talks of life, death and near-death states. It talks about religion and God and of paying respects to both from a safe distance.
Suggestions about improving one’s memory and heart and lung functions are also given in the book. It is daring in talking about our aim in life. The book is available in India on Amazon.in and also on Kindle.
Writer of the book, C L Ganjoo is an ex-senior consultant, Sunderlal Jain Hospital. He has also served as Medical Superintendent of Hospital for Psychiatric Diseases, Assistant Professor in Medical College and Consultant, SMHS Hospital, Srinagar.
‘Pleasures of Life’ is the third book of Ganjoo, who is presently settled at Delhi. His previous two books are ‘Leaking Secrets’— of doctor’s ways and practice and ‘Musing of a Psychiatrist’—random thoughts.
