SRINAGAR:National Conference Working President Omar Abdullah said it was amazing how stories are being spread that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is hosting iftar party in Srinagar.
Media reports here quoting BJP and other sources said Mr Modi is hosting iftar party in Srinagar, summer capital of only Muslim majority state in the country.
Other reports suggest that Mr Modi is coming on Eid-ul-Fitr day to announce a package for the state, particularly for September last year flood victims.
However, yesterday, the BJP from New Delhi has rejected these reports and said there is no such proposal.
In a tweet, Mr Abdullah, former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister said, “It is amazing how stories about PM hosting iftar party in Srinagar are being spread.”
He retweeted a tweet which says that “PM Narendra Modi has no plans to host iftar in Srinagar” . (AGENCIES)
