JAMMU, Sept 19: Inspector General (IG), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Jammu Sector, AV Chauhan today said that CRPF is always committed to success of their objectives and for this they are even ready to lay down their lives.
The IG was addressing the Jawans during a cleanliness and hygiene program carried out by CRPF and Northern Railway, Jammu, Ferozepur Division, at Jammu Tawi Railway Station under ‘Swachhta He Sewa’ drive, underway all over the country.
The program was organized by 160 Battalion CRPF under aegis of CRPF Jammu Sector. Besides, IGP CRPF Jammu Sector, Naveen Kumar, DTM, Northern Railway, Nitu, DIG CRPF, Jammu Range, RK Sethi, DIG CRPF, Ops Jammu (North), Ashish Kumar Jha, CO 166 Bn CRPF, Surendra Kumar, CO 160 Bn CRPF, Shashi Thakur, Deputy SP, GRP Jammu and other personnel of CRPF and Railways also participated in the program with full vigor and enthusiasm.
During the event, the IGP impressed upon the importance of cleanliness and hygiene in our lives and described ‘Swachhta He Sewa’ as a pious drive for the development of society. He also stated that cleanliness leaves positive impact on the socio-economic condition of the society and appealed the people to inculcate the habit of keeping their surroundings clean always. He further stressed that the cleanliness plays a vital role in the mental and psychological development in human kind.
CO, 160 Bn, CRPF, administered the pledge of cleanliness to all the personnel participating in the event.
