NEW DELHI, Sept 18: Aluminium prices declined by 0.21 per cent to Rs 119.95 per kg in futures trade today as speculators reduced positions amidst weak demand in the spot market.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, aluminium for delivery in current month traded lower by 25 paise, or 0.21 per cent, to Rs 119.95 per kg in a business turnover of 293 lots.
Likewise, the metal for delivery in October shed 15 paise, or 0.12 per cent, to Rs 121.40 per kg in 65 lots.
Analysts said offloading of positions by speculators due to sluggish demand in the spot market and a lower trend in other base metals in global markets mainly weighed on aluminium prices at futures trade. (PTI)
