Almond declines on subdued demand

NEW DELHI, Nov 9:  Almond prices fell by Rs 100 per 40 kg in the national capital today due to subdued demand from retailers and stockists amid adequate stocks.
Almond (California) prices fell by Rs 100 to Rs 16,700 per 40 kg and its kernel rates also eased by Rs 5 to Rs 590-605 per kg.
Traders attributed fall in almond prices to subdued demand from retailers and stockists against increased arrivals from overseas markets, mainly pulled down almond prices on the wholesale dry fruit market here.

Almond (California) Rs 16,700 Almond (Gurbandi-new) Rs 8,000-8,400; Almond (Girdhi) Rs 4,000-4,400; Abjosh Afghani Rs 8,000-25,000.
Almond Kernel (California-new) Rs 590-605 per kg, Almond Kernel (Gurbandi-new) Rs 470-500 per kg. (PTI)
