Allocate separate funds for implementation of 7th Pay Commission: NMC

JAMMU, Jan 10: President of the National Mazdoor Conference (NMC) Subash Shastri today reiterated the demand for allocation of separate funds for implementation of 7th Pay Commission recommendations in year 2018-19 budget, so that the benefits of the said commission start reaching to the Government employees and pensioners from April this year.
“Government should give benefits of the 7th pay commission from January 1, 2016 on the pattern of Central as well several State Governments”, Shastri said this while interacting with media persons here today.
Shastri said that the SRO 520 issued by the Chief Minister contains discrepancies with regards to regularization of the services of daily rated workers.
He demanded early release of 6 per cent pending DA installment in favour of the Government employees and, creation of wage head in each department of the State Government for regularly disbursement of their pending wages, enhance the medical allowance to Rs 10,000 per month, removal of all pay anomalies under SRO 93 and enhance the wages of daily rated workers to Rs 350 per day.
Shastri expressed hope that Government will fulfill its promises regarding the implementation of the 7th pay commission and others pending demands in the upcoming budget.
