JAMMU, Jan 24: All political parties and social organizations must fight together for people of Jammu as there is no strong political force in Jammu region as compared to Kashmir.
This was stated by Col SS Pathania, J&K president of Sainik Samaj Party (SSP) during a meeting held here today to deliberate various difficulties and problems being faced by people of JKUT in general and Jammu region in particular.
Col SS Pathania expressed his deep anguish and pain on existing security situation, youth and employees sitting on roads and indulging in prolonged protest, high handedness and no accountability by bureaucrats and civil administration and other problems. He urged all political parties, social organizations and intellectuals to get united on certain issues, adversely affecting common people and take up those issues, vigorously to influence the J&K and get relief for people.
After lots of deliberation, three issues viz. separate state of Jammu with safeguarding provisions of land bank, art and culture and jobs for youth, all out measures to eliminate militancy growing rapidly in Jammu region and zero corruption in public offices with stringent punishment provisions, were identified as common issues.
“Time has come for the people of Jammu region to come forward and strengthen regional parties of Jammu, which can get justice to the people and start journey of overall development and welfare of people,” he added.
