REASI, Oct 2: All India Devotional Song Competition being organized as a part of Navratra Festival entered third day at Yog Ashram Complex Katra.
The traditional lamp was lit by Vice Chancellor SMVD University Dr Ravindra Kumar Sinha (Padam Shree) and Celebrity Singer Amarjit Singh Bijli in presence of Chairman Devotional Song Committee and President Hotel Association Katra Rakesh Wazir, Assistant Director Tourism  Dr Umesh Shan, Yog Acharya Swami Yoga Nand ji Maharaj, Former Winner Rajan Gill, Virender Kesar and Prabhat Singh.
On third day, Sukhjinder Jit from Amritsar and Rajiv Salotra from Jammu shared first position in the preliminary round of the competition, whereas second position was bagged by Mohinder Soni from Jammu and third position was shared by Pranbha Sharma from Jammu and Afroj Alam from Bihar. Cash prizes of 10,000, 5,000 and 3,000 were given to top three positions holders respectively.
The Competition was adjudged by the panels of experts in music including Celebrity Singer Amarjit Singh Bijli Rashtrapati Awardee, Dr Usha Bhagati Ex-HoD Music of many Degree Colleges including PG MAM College Jammu, Dr Surinder Kumar Sharma HoD Government Degree College Sunni Shimla and Dr CL Verma Ex-Chairman Post Graduate University of Himachal Pradesh.
Celebrity Singer Amarjit Singh Bijli  who is known for his famous Albums  like  Maa Subka Bhala Kare, Ambe Bhawani, Chitthi Aayee Maiya Di etc. who had come all the way from Delhi to be here as judge and perform in the competition mesmerized the audience with his presentations. Rajan Gill who is former winner of this All India Devotional Song Competition also enthralled the audience with his mesmerizing voice.
The proceedings of competition were conducted by Rakesh Wazir, Chairman of the said Competition.
He informed that Mannat Noor the famous bollywood singer and playback singer of song Ni Mein Loung Ve Tu Lachi and Naveen Punjabi will be the singers among others who will perform in the final of the competition.
Vice Chancellor SMVD University Dr Ravindra Kumar Sinha while speaking on the occasion said that he feels happy to see the festival of this level is taking place at Katra which goes on for all nine days. Wider publicity of this competition is the need of hour so that more and more people come to know of it, he added.
“On one hand, this festival is providing platform to aspiring singers to show their talent and on hand is giving boost to Tourism in a big way”, Sinha maintained.
