JAMMU, Sept 27: Asian Law College (ALC), one of the premier institutions under the aegis of Asian Education Group, successfully organised a two-day International Moot Court Competition. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation of law students from reputed national and international universities, showcasing their legal acumen, advocacy skills, and research capabilities.
The competition was organised in association with Vidhisastras, Advocates & Solicitors. SCC Online as the Knowledge Partner and SCC Times as the Media Partner. Inaugural Session was graced by Justice UjjalBhuyan, Sitting Judge, Supreme Court of India, as the Chief Guest.
Addressing the gathering, Justice Bhuyan encouraged students to practice mooting skills as they form the foundation for handling real-life courtroom challenges. He also shared motivating life lessons, stating that winning and losing are integral parts of life. Further, he highlighted both the rewarding and challenging aspects of the legal profession and emphasized that senior legal professionals hold a responsibility to guide law students by making them aware of courtroom realities and enriching their minds for the journey ahead.
The event was also honoured by the presence of Advocate Nar Hari Singh, Senior Central Government Counsel, Government of India, who highlighted the significance of gaining practical courtroom experience and advised students to cultivate open-mindedness throughout their legal careers.
The International Moot Court Competition 2025 at ALC reaffirmed the institution’s commitment to fostering academic excellence, professional growth, and global exposure for its students, while strengthening its collaboration with leading legal platforms and law firms.
