JAMMU, Oct 6: Sanjeevani Sharda Kendra (SSK), Anand Nagar, Bohri organized seminars on “Vivekananda: An inspiration to Youth” and “Role of new generation for preservation of Kashmiri culture”.
On the occasion, AK Raina, retd Director School Education was the chief guest, while Prof TN Shalla, a senior trustee of the Kendra presided over the function.
Students, of 16 schools expressed their views, whereas Akanksha Pandita of SOS School, Gole Gujral and Isha Bharti of SOS School were adjudged the best speakers.
Prof Sunil Tikoo, Promila Koul and Bindraban Sher acted as judges, who adjudged the winners.
On the occasion, six speakers of the seminar and 55 top ranking students of Third Gyan Pratiyogita were awarded commendation certificates and other prizes. Students who ranked over all 1st, 2nd, and 3rd (both in Junior and Senior Groups) of 3rd Gyan Pratiyogita 2013 were given cash prizes by Dhanvati Shalla Memorial Foundation, Jammu.
While speaking, AK Raina stressed for preservation and promotion of old aged culture by way of organizing of such functions.
Prof TN Shalla threw a brief light upon the activities of Sanjeevani Sharda Kendra.
The programme was conducted by Radhya Sham, whereas SN Raina, Coordinator of the programme presented vote of thanks.
