AJKPC withdraws proposed strike of Apr 22: Sukhanandan

JAMMU, Apr 21: The proposed strike on April 22 by All Jammu & Kashmir Panchayat Conference (AJKPC) has been withdrawn on getting assurance from Divisional Commissioner, Jammu here, today.
This was stated by Ch. Sukhnandan, former Minister and BJP chairman, Panchayati Raj Cell.
Sukhnandan Choudhary disclosed this after he came out of a meeting with the Divisional Commissioner of Jammu, Dr. Raghav Langer. He was also accompanied by AJKPC vice-president and Sarpanch Jatinder Singh, AJKPC general secretary and Sarpanch, Ravinder Singh and dozens of other Sarpanches.
Ch. Sukhnandan said, “Today’s press conference is related to the crucial issue which was raised in previous press meet about the pendency of materials payment to vendors under MGNREGA and now I am here along with many PRIs that this issue coming in the notice of LG and having trust on our visionary PM Narendra Modi that the issue is going to be resolved in coming days and the PRIs have full faith on the Government”.
Sukhnandan further said that representatives of All Jammu & Kashmir Panchayat Conference (AJKPC) after discussing their issues with the Divisional Commissioner and then getting the assurance that their every issue will be sorted out after April 24 without any delay have withdrawn the strike.
