AJKLTF discusses demands

JAMMU, Apr 23: A general body meeting of All Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh Teachers Federation ( AJKLTF) was held under the chairmanship of Mahon Singh, State president wherein they discussed their problems, today.
The meeting highlighted that the present Recruitment Policy is totally baseless and anti-unemployed youth and demanded to revoke this policy. They said that Academic session has started but free supply of book to the Government School has not been provided till date which is adversely affecting the study of students. The federation demands immediate supply of free books.
The mid-day meal grants have not been released for last one year due to which most of the schools are unable to provide mid-day meal to poor children.
They said that the almost all the Government Schools are without regular sweepers. The federation demands the immediate release of pending salaries of the Masters and Teachers.
The federation hails the initiatives taken by the Government for formation of transfer policy and a suggestion sought from all stake-holders in this regard is a welcome step.
Among others attended the meeting were Bhushan S Verma, Maheshwar Prasad, Ravinder Verma, Vijay Kumar, Rampaul Saini, Arun Sharma, Kulbushan Sharma, Kuldeep Singh and Madan Singh.
