JAMMU, Mar 12: a delegation of All Jammu and Kashmir Kissan Union (AJKKU) led by its Chairman Ashok Sharma, former MLA at Civil Secretariat, here today.
The delegation suggested the Minister that a proper mechanism be devised and put in place to address the issues of Administrative units and settle the related growing resentment of the public.
Various issues pertaining to Kissan community were discussed such as maintenance and upkeep of records, maintenance of cultivation record of judicious tillers, vigilance over transfer of entries, on spot Girdhawari khasra in public assemblies, reimbursement of losses, timely revenue collection, issuance of record copies as fraud intikhab, hereditary transfer of land of farmers and functioning of Patwari khanas.
The emphasis was laid by the delegation for strict enforcement of Public Gaurantee Act in the Revenue Department.
The Land use classification and coordination mechanism to settle the inter-related cases between departments also came under discussion.
The Minister gave patient hearing to the delegation and assured for early redressal of all the genuine demands.
The delegation comprised of BS Jamwal, former Deputy Commissioner, Raghunandan Khajuria, Rashpal Singh Bhatti, Capt Lalit Kumar Sharma, Ghulam Mohi-Ud-Din War, Khillari Lal Kouran, S Bhagwan Singh, Nakul Sharma, BC Raina, Ajay Samlotra and Bodh Raj Bandral.
