JAMMU, Feb 9: A meeting of the Central Executive Council (CEC) of the All Jammu and Kashmir Agriculture Officers Welfare Forum (AJKAOWF) was held, wherein they discussed their demands at Krishi Bhawan.
Under the chairmanship of Nasir A Zargar, the CEC, deliberated upon the outcome of its recent interactions with the Minister for Agriculture, Commissioner cum Secretary and other officers of Agriculture Production Department (APD) unanimously hailed the decision of the APD to restore the post of the Director of Agriculture, Jammu, back to the professional cadres of the department.
The CEC hoped that a similar decision will also follow in case of posting of a new Director of Agriculture Kashmir, from amongst the senior most officers of the department.
The CEC was also unanimous in forcefully demanding the APD to uphold the recent court judgement of implementing agriculture order-279 of 2008 in letter and spirit or conduct the DPC of the officers at the earliest.
The meeting ended with chairman complimenting the editorial team of Bawa Jitto magazine on their bringing it out beautifully and exhorted the officers to work with usual zest in successfully implementing various programmes and projects of the department.
