JAMMU, Feb 9: Bhaderwah police today arrested five gamblers from Nalthi Sartingal and recovered Rs 5,300 stake money from their possession.
A police spokesman said that, on specific inputs, police party from Police Station Bhaderwah conducted raid at Nalthi Sartingal and arrested five gamblers along with Rs 5,300 stake money.
In another incident, police party from police station Bhaderwah arrested a bootlegger namely Dewan Chand with 37 pouches of illicit liquor.
A case under FIR number 20/14 under Section 48-A Excise Act has been registered at police station Bhaderwah and investigation started.
