JAMMU, May 13: A delegation from the All Jammu Based Reserved Category Employees Association Kashmir (AJBRCEAK), led by its president Anil Radha, met Cabinet Minister Satish Sharma and apprised him of the pressing concerns faced by Jammu-based reserved category employees serving in the Kashmir division.
Highlighting the growing sense of insecurity, particularly among employees hailing from border areas of Jammu, Anil Radha expressed that the tense situation in the Valley has created an atmosphere of fear and mental trauma. He stated that employees are finding it increasingly difficult to perform their duties under the prevailing circumstances.
Deepak Kumar, a member of the Association, urged the Minister to expedite the notification of a comprehensive transfer policy. He reminded that an empowered committee has already been constituted for this purpose but action is still awaited.
Another member, Hemraj Lakhotra, emphasized the urgent need for safe and secure accommodation for Jammu-based employees at the district level in Kashmir. He also called for their adjustment in designated safe zones or district headquarters to ensure their well-being.
Other members of the delegation included Ram Krishan, Virender Mohan, Rakesh Kumar, Ravi Kumar, Anil Kumar, Ashok Kumar, Deepak Sharma, and others. The Minister assured the delegation that their concerns would be taken up at the appropriate level.
