JAMMU, Mar 12: Former Minister, Ex-MLC Ajatshatru Singh today visited Sudhmahadev and took stock of various facilities being provided to the pilgrims besides holding threadbare discussions on improving the existing edifice of the revered Shool Paneshwar Temple.
The purpose of the visit was to make this place a must visit pilgrimage site which is likely to experience huge footfall of devotees during the ensuing Navratras. He was accompanied by Kunwarani Ritu Singh and Trustee J&K Dharmarth Trust, Ranvijay Singh.
Talking with caretakers of the Temple, Singh asserted that preparing the necessary infrastructure to ensure that reliable facilities were provided to the pilgrims visiting this ancient site believed to be more than 3000 years old. After getting firsthand information about the infrastructure, he disclosed the roadmap for uplifting the existing edifice.
Earlier, Ajatshatru went round the temple complex and issued necessary directions regarding required repairs and facelift of the temple.
He reviewed the arrangements for the upcoming ‘Chaitra Navratri Festival’ and directed for making adequate arrangements for the festivals.
Addressing the gathering, Ajatshatru also appealed to the Government to complete the ongoing development works for making hassle free journey of pilgrims to this enchanting pilgrimage site.
Singh asked the officials of the Dharmarth Trust to chalk-out captivating programmes within the available resources to make the visit of devotees a memorable one so that they could act as ambassadors to spread and highlight the mysticism and religious significance connected with the place up to places far and wide.
