Air Mantra to start operation for Kargil

JAMMU, Jan 1: Private Airline Company, Air Mantra, which is already operating its flights between Chandigarh and Jammu, will commence its operation between Jammu and Kargil from 7th or 12th of this month.
Disclosing this, the former Union Minister and Pradesh Congress Committee chief Prof Saif-ud-Din Soz today said that it could be possible with the initiative of AICC general secretary Rahul Gandhi (MP). Prof Soz said that Rahul Gandhi has already promoted the interests of the people of Kargil and Leh region. He has taken personal interest in construction of Zojila tunnel and inauguration of Z-Morh Tunnel some months ago, came about only through his efforts.
PCC chief said Rahul Gandhi managed to motivate Private Company Air Mantra to schedule its flights to and fro Kargil. The inaugural flight is expected to take place on January 7 or 12, 2013. The Centre is working hard to ensure better air, road and telecom connectivity to Ladakh region, Prof Soz maintained.
