JAMMU, Nov 20: All India Migrant Camp Coordination Committee (AIMCCC) in a meeting here, today held under the chairmanship of its president, Desh Rattan has appealed the people to strengthen nationalist forces in the District Development Council (DDC) elections as country is facing a big challenge from its detractors and enemies within and outside.
Addressing the meeting AIMCCC president, Desh Rattan said it took India over 70 years to realize the role of Kashmir centric politicians whose only agenda is to seek power by hook or crook.
He said these politicians came into their true colours when they formed the Peoples Alliance for Gupkar Declaration (PAGD) and when some of their leaders said that for restoration of Article 370 and 35-A they will seek support from China and also will not take the Tri Colour in their hand till 370 is restored.
He said these parties who were arch rivals till yesteryears and did not see eye to eye with each other joined hands overnight for sake of power while it is a fact that they are the people who brought J&K to the path of destruction and Kashmiri youth took to arms because of their negative role played for decades together by them.
Rattan said they empowered their families amassed huge wealth and made fortunes for their families while common masses of the State were left to fend for themselves. He said these were KPs in Valley as well who being the nationalists had always expressed apprehensions about the role of these politicians and they had always seen through their gameplan. But the leaders at Delhi never realized this. He however expressed the hope that the steps taken by Modi Government will yield fruit as these politicians will be rejected by the masses of the UT now provided the Government in real sense works towards the betterment of common masses in the UT. Rattan also said it was the high time for GoI to settle over 31 year long issue of displaced Pandits by rehabilitating them in their homeland with honour and dignity as per their geo-political aspirations.
