AIMCCC delegation meets Secy, Director FCS&CA

JAMMU, Feb 12: A deputation of All India Migrant Camp Coordination Committee (AIMCCC) led by Desh Rattan Pundit called on Director Food Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs (FCS&CA)here, today and appealed him to release the Sugar quota for the displaced Pandits which is pending since August last year in advance the Maha Shivratri festival falling on February 20.
The deputation expressed concern that Government is silent on the issue. It demanded sugar quota be released within days otherwise the community will launch protest. Later the delegation met the Commissioner Secretary, P K Pole and discussed the problems of displaced people with him. It demanded release of sugar quota and supply of good quality of rice and Atta on the eve of Maha Shivratri. The delegations showed its concern that Government was not taking pains in settling the problems of displaced Pandits. The other members of the delegation included P N Jalali, B K Raina, Anil Kumar Mehta, J L Raina and T N Koul.
