AIKS to support BJP candidate

NEW DELHI, Nov 15:  All India Kashmiri Samaj (AIKS) organized a largely attended meeting of Kashmiri Pandits living in Delhi NCR and adjourning areas to garner support for Moti Kaul, BJP candidate from Habba Kadal, Constituency of Srinagar district in Kashmir valley.
Mr Kaul also attended the meeting which was presided over by Gautam Kaul, acting president of AIKS.
Dr Romesh Raina, general secretary AIKS while welcoming the guest laid emphasis on the total participation of displaced Kashmiri Pandits in this elections as it heralded a new chapter in Valley’s political graph. “Our participation is a re-iteration and re-assertion of our rights as the citizens of that place’’, he said. Dr Raina called upon the people to make themselves more visible this time as the times were changing so was the future of Kashmir.
Gautam Kaul gave a clarion call to people to vote in big numbers to ensure that J&K gets a responsible Government and that there is no choice but to vote for BJP.
Kaul asserted that “we should not forget the tragic exodus and  reminded them that the pain and trauma inflicted as a result of exodus should never go out of our memories until we reclaim our legitimate socio cultural and political space in the Valley’’.
Others speakers who spoke included Prof B B Dhar, president KECSS;  M K Kaw, chairman, AIKS Trust and Col (retd) Tej K Tikoo, vice president AIKS and Sanjay Ganjoo, president JKVM.
The Kashmiri Pandit community in the capital region has given a call to all its members to come out and vote in the largest numbers and support the BJP candidate in the coming State elections.
