JAMMU, Jan 27: The Joint Select Committee on “Jammu and Kashmir Prohibition on Conversion of Agricultural Land for Non-Agricultural Purposes Bill”, has directed the Revenue and Housing and Urban Development authorities to submit a detailed report about the land specified for Abadi Deh and Master Plan.
The Committee, met under the chairmanship of Minister of State for Revenue, Relief and Rehabilitation Aijaz Khan here today and held threadbare discussion on the proposed Bill. The meeting unanimously decided that before taking any decision on the Bill, the panel would observe the position of land under Abadi deh. It also decided to seek land requirement for the perspective Master Plan from the concerned for perusal of the Committee members
The Committee members Dr. Mustafa Kamaal, Harshdev Singh, Abdul Gaffar Sofi, Syed Asgar Ali, B. R. Kundal and Sheikh Ghulam Rasool attended the meeting and gave their valuable suggestions with regard to proposed Bill.
Among others, Commissioner Secretary, Agriculture Production Department Asgar Samoon, Secretary Legislative Assembly M. Ramzan, Secretary Housing and Urban Development Satish Nehru, Secretary Revenue Vinod Koul, Additional Secretary Law and other officers attended the meeting.
