JAMMU, July 22: Shiv Sena Bal Thackrey will start indefinite peaceful demonstration till AIIMS would be announced for Jammu.
This was stated by President, Shiv Sena Bal Thakrey Dimpy Kohli, senior vice president Vikrant Kapoor, general secretary GI Singh, Vinay Gupta and Rohit Singh Bhau during a joint press conference here today.
“Shri Amarnath Yatra is going on and so we are not in favour of bandh calls and chakka jam. Shiv Sena will start indefinite peaceful demonstration till AIIMS would be announced for Jammu”, they stated.
They expressed surprise over the breach of written agreement made by Deputy Chief Minister Dr Nirmal Singh and Minister for Social Welfare Bali Bhagat with AIIMS Coordination Committee (ACC) last month regarding announcement of AIIMS for Jammu. They termed the breach of written agreement as mockery with the people of Jammu.
“It is an attempt to derail the agitation being launched by the civil society and political parties to get the AIIMS for Jammu”, they added.
“Why Deputy Chief Minister and Social Forestry Minister gave assurance in writing if the same does not fall in their domain”, they questioned.
Dr Nirmal Singh and Bali Bhagat should resign immediately for betraying the people of Jammu, who voted for them, they added.
As stated earlier that if no announcement would be made till July 20, Shiv Sena Bal Thackrey will start indefinite strike and in this regard all the district units have been conveyed to hold demonstration in front of their respective DC Offices, the leaders said.
