Absconder, three thieves land in police net

JAMMU, July 22: An absconder and three thieves landed in Akhnoor police net.
As per police sources, police team from Akhnoor police station arrested an absconder, who was at large since 2013.
The accused has been identified as Ravi Kumar, son of Durga Dass of Bhardah Kalan, tehsil Akhnoor. He was wanted in a case registered with Akhnoor police station under FIR number 190/2005 Under Section 279 and 304-A RPC.
The accused was produced before JMIC Akhnoor, who sent him to judicial custody at District Jail, Ambphalla.
Meanwhile, Akhnoor police also arrested two thieves along with stolen motorcycle bearing registration number JK02AP-5027 in a case registered under FIR number 100/15 under Section 379 RPC.
The thieves have been identified as Sunil Kumar, son of Ratan Lal and Prince Kumar, son of Bachan Lal, both residents of Chak Singha Thathi.
In another case, Akhnoor police nabbed a thief involved in a case registered under FIR number 128/15 under Section 457 and 380 RPC. The thief has been identified as Inderjeet Kumar, son of Zakir Parshad of Bihar, at present Sungal Morh, Akhnoor. Stolen digital camera of Nikon Company and Rs 1400 cash has been recovered from his possession. The accused had stolen the camera and cash from the shop of Deepak Choudhary of Akhnoor.
Police team led by SHO Akhnoor police station Inspector Pushpinder Singh made the arrests under the supervision of SDPO Akhnoor Naresh Singh and Incharge SSP Jammu Rajiv Pandey.
