AIDS Awareness Campaign through folk media concludes

JAMMU, Sept 20: Special AIDS Awareness Campaign through folk media organized by Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan (BLSKS) and Sangam Tru Art Production concluded in RS Pura and Bishnah Block.
On the concluding day, a musical play ‘Nai Chetna’ was organised by BLSKS and Sangam Tru Art Production in close coordination with Jammu and Kashmir AIDS Control Society.
A total of 8 programmes were presented during the campaign.
The programmes were inaugurated by the chief guests Naresh Kumar, Panch Mehmood Pur, Bishnah and Ravi Kumar, Panch Ward Number 6 Jinder Khurd, Bishnah respectively. The special guests were Rita Devi, Surjeet Singh, Kaka Ram and Shamsher Singh.
In addition to the awareness programmes, colourful cultural programmes comprising of skits, dance items and songs based on various theme were also presented.
The musical play “Nai Chetna” was written by Dr ML Dogra Chairman BLSKS. The music was composed by MC Kotwal, Music Director of BLSKS.
Earlier on the concluding day, the welcome address was presented by Dr ML Dogra, Chairman, BLSKS and in the end, MC Kotwal Troupe Incharge BLSKS presented vote of thanks.
The singers, musician and actors who performed were KK Joshi, Rajni Gupta, Bindia Okheda, Kamla Devi, Sant Dass, Sunil Kumar, Raju Bajgal, Nazuk Bhagat, Chahat Chadha, Sudesh Manhas, Ravi Kumar, Rahul Kumar and Deepak Kumar Dogra.
