JAMMU, Jan 4: All India Backward Classes Union (AIBCU) backed the step of issuing the domicile certificates to the West Pakistan Refugees (WPRs) by the Government and termed it a welcome step.
In a statement issued, Prof Kali Dass, General Secretary of the Union and MR Bangotra, Retd CEO assured the Government to fully support for such most genuine causes for the public interest at large.
“The refugees have been made to sit by the rulers of that time who could be the ancestors of the present leaders”, they added.
They stated that on humanitarian grounds, domicile certificate is the best solution and its opposition will vertically divide NC and Congress to further minimize their existence in the State. Their (NC and Congress) emergence with the issue will clear their face with anti-people policy, they added.
