AHD distributes Rs 39,250 among farmers

SRINAGAR, Oct 13: The Animal Husbandry Department (AHD) today organized a cheque distribution function at Ganderbal where cheques worth Rs. 39,250 were distributed among 37 farmers of the district.
In a press release, technical officer to Chief Animal Husbandry Officer, Ganderbal said that Tullamulla Milk Producers Cooperative Society collects 3000 litres of milk per day and the same is distributed in the urban areas of Srinagar city with main focus being on Soura area. The officer said that 300 farmers are registered with this cooperative society.
The technical officer said that the cheques were distributed under the Central Herd Registration Scheme. He said the scheme has earned reputation of being one of the most important farmer friendly schemes.
