Agra DM serves notice to Priyanka Gandhi over false allegation

AGRA: Agra district authorities have served a notice to Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra over her tweet alleging that 28 coronavirus patients have died in the Taj city in the past 48 hrs.

Seeking an unconditional apology and issuing a rejoinder about her wrong statement within 24 hours, Agra District Magistrate Prabhu Narain Singh on Tuesday said that the Congress leader’s statement is wrong.

“In the past 109 days, the district has witnessed 1,139 COVID-19 and 79 deaths,” the DM said.
Ms Gandhi, on Monday, slammed the Yogi Adityanath government over Corona deaths in Agra claiming that it was the real picture of the state. “No test, No Corona police,” she had tweeted.
