JAMMU, June 5: Up in arms against alleged negligence of the school administration for irregularity in Formative Assessment (FA) of the class 10th students, whose annual result was declared by CBSE on last Saturday, parents of the aggrieved students held a protest demonstration in front of the Presentation Convent Senior Secondary School, Gandhi Nagar, here today.
The protesting parents raised slogans against the school management and demand action against the erring officials. Alleging that the incumbent Principal was not competent enough, they were also demanding her transfer from the school.
Even as the protest demonstration continued for more than an hour, the school administration did not pay any heed to meet the aggrieved parents.
While talking to media persons, the aggrieved parents alleged that the schools authorities had jumbled the FA marks of class 10th students with the result that their wards could not score well in the annual examination by Central Board of School Education (CBSE). They demanded that the school should immediate take up the matter with CBSE for rectification of the error and action be taken against the persons responsible for the mess.
