AEBAS enrolment reviewed in Reasi

REASI, July 30: Deputy Commissioner Reasi, Prasanna Ramaswamy G today chaired a meeting to review the Aadhaar Enabled Biometric Attendance System (AEBAS) registration of the employees.
The meeting was attended by ADDC Reasi, Ramesh Chander, ACR Harbans Lal, ARTO, Executive Engineer PDD, PWD, Tehsildars, CMO and heads of other line departments.
The DC directed all district officers to expedite the   process to ensure that all remaining employees are enrolled.
Pertinently, the new system of attendance involves linking of Government employees Aadhaar details with their attendance. The linkage is being done to enforce punctuality in the offices.
The meeting was informed that AEBAS bio-metric devices have been installed in all offices of the district, while the DC directed the NIC head to provide necessary guidance to the officials regarding the biometric attendance system.
The DDC said registration of all employees in the attendance portal is mandatory and strict action will be taken against those not adhering to the directions.
He said that with the installation of the AEBAS employees will have to mark their daily attendance on time, which will improve the work culture and bring about a significant impact on the overall governance system in the district.
