Adrash Vihar Road faces neglect by Govt agencies

Excelsior Correspondent
JAMMU, May 11: Adrash Vihar Road, adjoining Sainik Colony is facing total neglect by the Government agencies.
The condition of this road has turned from bad to worst during last 3-4 years, but despite the hard efforts of the local residents and members of Adrash Vihar Society, this road could not be repaired  till today. This entire neglected patch is just adjacent to Jodhamal school  and water logging is the order of the day. During rainy season, it become very difficult for the people to pass through knee deep water on this road.
A senior member of the Society, S Balwant Singh said that they approached  the concerned MLA Gandhi Nagar (Now DyCM),  Chief Engineer R&B, SE and Executive Engineer concerned besides Commissioner JMC Ramesh Kumar, but they received only false assurances from them. The residents also attracted the attention of Member Parliament, Shamsher Singh Manhas but they are still waiting to witness  any work done on the ground. Again rainy season is approaching nearer and  the people will again be made to suffer. The locals sought intervention of R&B and H&UD Ministers.
