RAJOURI, May 11: The Police nabbed two boys along with drugs in Thannamandi area booking the duo under NDPS Act while two others from Darhal have been taken into preventive custody for their involvement in drugs related unlawful activities.
During naka at TCP Thannamandi, a Bolero vehicle bearing registration No. JK-11B-4784, driven by one Ajaz Ahmed, son of Abdul Rashid, resident of Plangerh, in tehsil Thannamandi, which was on way from Thananmandi towards Rajouri put to checking by police team.
During thorough search, nearly 10 gms of heroin was recovered from the possession of driver while nearly 7 gms from the other boy travelling in vehicle namely, Mohd Asif, son of Mohd Bashir resident of Chandimarh (Surankote) and at present Tariq Bridge locality in Rajouri.
Both the accused persons were arrested and a case FIR No. 67/2018 U/S 8/22/60 NDPS Act has been registered. The Police team headed by SHO Thannamandi, organized operartion under the supervision of SDPO Thannamandi Iftikar Chowdhary.
Meanwhile, continuing it’s efforts to prevent unlawful incidents, Rajouri Police today took two more persons into preventive custody.
Both are said to be drug- peddlers and have been taken into custody on the orders of Magistrate. They are identified as Altaf Hussain, son of Hameed Ullah, resident of Chowkian Darhal and Mohd Safeer, son of Tufail Hussain, resident of Chowkian.
