REASI, May 15: Regional Director, Survey and Land Records (ex-officio Settlement Officer), Reasi and Udhampur districts Amit Sharma conducted a detailed awareness meeting relating to computerisation of land records.
The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner Reasi Babu Ram, Assistant Commissioner Reasi Abdul Sattar, SDM Dharmari with Additional Charge of Sub Division Mahore, SDM Katra Neelam, Tehsildar Reasi, Tehsildar Dharmari, Tehsildar and Naib Tehsildars of the district.
Dr Rana, who is head of M/s Ram Tech gave a comprehensive presentation on the ongoing process of computerisation of land records in the State.
Amit Sharma advised all the revenue officers to adapt to the innovative techniques being adopted all across the nation for computerisation and automation of revenue records so that the common citizen faces minimal problems regarding procurement of revenue documents which should be readily available to the users at any point of time. He further mentioned that this is part of Digital India Land Records Modernisation Programme through which already many States have already completed this process successfully.
During the meeting, Director S&LR Amit Sharma with his team created lot of awareness towards completing scanning work of land records with primary role of concerned Patwaries in district Reasi in a time-bound manner and the district administration assured of total cooperation and support. Lot of other issues regarding settlement operations in the district, routine office work on land records and other relevant areas were also taken-up and decided.
Sharma assured the district administration that he will make a roster of weekly visits in district Reasi so that all relevant matters pertaining to settlement and related areas can be disposed off in the district itself so that the residents of the district can get the matters settled without requiring to travel to Udhampur for the same.
M/s Ram Tech has been directed by Director S&LR to start the scanning and computerisation operations in the district from next week.
