Admn, APMCC delegations visit Valley shrines to oversee arrangements for Mela Kheer Bhawani

JAMMU, June 4: A delegation of district administration today visited different temples and shrines in Kashmir to oversee the arrangements for the Zeasth Ashtami falling on June 10.

An official delegations compromising of district administration, Kupwara, DC Kulgam, officers of district administration Anantnag, Gandarbal and Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner, T K Bhat with other officials along with Vinod Pandit, chairman All Parties Migrant Coordination Committee (APMCC) visited Tulmulla in district Ganderbal, Tikker in district Kupwara, Mata Kheerbhawani, Manzgam, Mata Tripursundri Devsar & Lokti Pora, Anantnag to review arrangements for Zeasth Ashtami for yatris falling on June 10. The directives to the heads of district administration in this regard were given by Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir, Bashir Ahmad Khan.
It is worth to mention here that Zeasth Ashtami is celebrated in the shrines in Valley like Tulmulla (district Ganderbal), Tikker(district Kupwara), Laktipora Aishmuqam(district Anantnag), Mata Tripursundri Devsar(district Kulgam)& Mata Kheerbhawani Manzgam (district Kulgam). The district administration is required to make arrangements for security of Yatris, availability of portable water, sanitation, keep Fire and Emergency Services ready, provide blankets to pilgrims, make available LPG cylinders sleeping bags, , rice and flour, kerosene oil etc. The Relief Commissioner also interacted with employees at Natnussa KP Colony and rental employees.
During the visit the officers of the departments which accompanied with delegation in every district included PDD, PHE, PWD, Police, Food & Supplies, Revenue, Health etc. During the visit delegations were assured by all the officers that full arrangements will be made for the upcoming Zeasth Ashtami.
