JAMMU, Aug 1: Aggrieved over denial of their absorption,   admission seekers today held protest demonstrations against the Cluster University Jammu.
Separate protest demonstrations were held at GGM Science College, SPMR College of Commerce and MAM College. The protesting admission seekers raised slogans against the Cluster University administration and threatened to intensify their stir if they are not absorbed in the city colleges
The  demonstration at GGM Science College, led by JJSF president Pushvinder Singh, was later  joined by admission seekers  of MAM College and SPMR College of Commerce, who took out protest march  under the leadership of Anshu Sharma (president MAM College) and Vikas Sharma (president SPMR College), respectively.
While addressing the joint protest demonstration, the student leaders said it was very unfortunate that instead of increasing the capacity of the city colleges, the administration in connivance with the State Government was hell bent to destroy the future of student community of Duggar region as the capacity of the city colleges was reduced from almost 15000 to 6100 for this session. “The Jammu students who have passes their higher secondary examinations have every right to take admission in the colleges for further studies,” they added and suggested that evening colleges may be re-started to accommodate all the admission seekers.
