Adm fails to provide basic amenities to public: Manohar

JAMMU, Dec 29: Former minister and president DCC Kathua Dr Manohar Lal Sharma has alleged that J&K Administration has failed to provide basic amenities to the people, especially those residing in remote areas.
Mr Sharma who just concluded his 3-day extensive tour of Billawar constituency alleged that people have been deprived of the basic facilities. During interaction, the locals projected their issues and said that ration, kerosene oil, electricity and water supply was not available. Moreover, the Government employees hardly visit their respective offices. There is no control of the seniors on them. The works under RDD in various blocks have been stopped and the labour class is not getting work under MGNREGA.
DCC president said that condition of many link roads was worst. Electricity supply remains suspended for days and in case of damage caused to electric transformers, PDD staff takes more than week to replace or repair the same. There is no accountability of the officers at all. Widow /old age pension is not provided for months together. The people who have executed works under MGNREGA are unpaid for the last 2-3 years. Same is the condition of the labour class, he added.
Sharma alleged that due to mis-governance of BJP, the common masses are feeling deceived. He said PM did a lot of `Mann ki Baat today also but he didn’t utter any word about burning issues such as unemployment, price rise, slowing down of economy and farmer issues.
He requested Lt Governor to fill up the vacant vacancies lying in various departments on priority basis. Her also demanded regularization of teachers and daily wagers in different departments and release of their pending wages.
