JAMMU, May 9: All Displaced Kashmiri United Forum (ADKUF) held a meeting under its chairman D N Kissu at Durga Nagar today in which some burning problems of the displaced Pandits were discussed.
Addressing the meeting Mr Kissu strongly demanded that the Pandits living in exile be declared as internally displaced community and it should be rehabilitated at a single place.
Prof G L Koul chief advisor of the Forum criticized the role of previous State and Central Governments towards the displaced people from Valley who are the victims of genocide, ethnic cleansing, exodus and religious discrimination and also decried the Government for denying payment of exgratia against the damaged properties.
P L Sudeshi president of the Forum demanded immediate steps be taken for implementation of PM’s employment package while its general secretary, P N Raina expressed concern over denial of ration to displaced Pandits. C L Koul voice president asked the community to be united for their rights. M L Koul, Roshan Lal, Dr Baljinath, Badri Nath, C L Zuthsi, BL Bhat and others also addressed the meeting.
