ADGP visits Yatra transit camp, takes stock of security arrangements

RAMBAN, July 16: The Additional Director General of Police, Jammu Zone, Mukesh  Singh today visited Yatra Transit Camp at Lamber here, where he took stock of security arrangements put in place for the pilgrims of Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra and interacted with the jurisdictional and CRPF officers and sought their reports regarding the security arrangements.
The ADGP Jammu was accompanied by DIG DKR Shri Sunil Gupta, SSP Ramban Mohita Sharma and ASP Ramban Rajni Sharma besides other officers.
During his visit the ADGP reviewed the security arrangements for smooth Yatra. The purpose of the visit, he said was to review the movement of yatra convoys, arrangements at the langars and lodgement centres and to remove difficulties if any.
The ADGP visited the ‘langars’ (community kitchens), parking places and gave on spot directions to the officers. He emphasized that local & highway security grid need to be kept fully geared up at all levels and joint efforts of all security forces must continue for the smooth conduct of pilgrimage.
