ADGP reviews deployment of police personnel

SRINAGAR, May 31: ADGP Armed J&K AK Choudhary convened and chaired a meeting of Commandants of Kashmir Based AP/IR Battalions at Camp Office APHQ J&K here to review the deployment of police personnel in Kashmir Zone besides taking the stock of checking points manned by J&K Police.
During the meeting various issues including naka deployment, COVID-19 arrangements and other administrative issues were discussed. Issues pertaining to law and order and welfare of jawans were also discussed. Various issued raised by the COs were discussed and necessary instructions were issued to them on spot by the ADGP.
ADGP issued necessary instructions to the Commandants in respect of naka checking and other deployment in Kashmir Zone.
Besides the Commandants of Kashmir Based AP/IR Battalions, the meeting was attended by SSP APCR Srinagar and Camp Officers of APHQ J&K Srinagar.
On the occasion, the ADGP Armed said that police personnel are doing their best in containing the COVID-19 in the area of their respective jurisdictions. He stressed upon the COs that they should by all means adhere to the guidelines issued by Government from time to time in connection with containing the spread of Coronavirus.
ADGP emphasized that the jawans should be regularly briefed for maintaining social distance and wearing masks while performing their duties in the field or staying in Campus.
