ADGP conducts Darbar, reviews welfare of jawans

JAMMU, Nov 23: SJM Gillani, ADGP Armed J&K visited APC Channi Himmat here today to take the stock of functioning affairs of the units and welfare of jawans of APC Channi based AP/ IR Battalions.
On his arrival at APC Channi, the ADGP was accorded a warm reception by the senior officers of the Channi based AP-IR Battalions. MS Chouhan-SSP received the ADGP. Gillani was accompanied by IGP Armed Danish Rana, Staff Officer to ADGP Armed Mahmood Ahmad-SSP, CPO APHQ Mohammad Shafi Rather, SSP APCR RC Kotwal, DySP Personnel APHQ Mushtaq Ahmad Wani, Pvt Secretary to ADGP Armed Syed Sajad, Staff Officer to DIG Armed Jammu Balwant Raj-DySP and other Jammu based officers of Armed wing.
During the visit, the ADGP conducted the inspection of the entire infrastructure of JKAP-7th Bn., IRP-14th Bn. their quarter guards, police family quarters, police transport workshop spread over the APC premises.
The ADGP issued on the spot instructions to the concerned Commandants for appropriate actions in respect of improvement of various infrastructures observed during the said inspection. He also advised the Estate officer APC Channi Himmat for taking necessary steps to improve the living condition of the families of the jawans in residential areas of the complex. The ADGP stressed for maintaining cleanliness in the residential area at all cost. He also desired that the official residing in the family quarters should also cooperate in maintaining the cleanliness of the area.
After having rounds of the entire APC premises the ADGP accompanied by other senior officers addressed the Darbar of officers and jawans of JKAP-7th/ IRP-14th Bns. During the Darbar, the ADGP apprised the jawans about all the welfare measures being taken by the organization for the police personnel in the UT of J&K. He also informed the jawans about the benefits being extended to J&K police at par with the other police forces in the UTs of the Country.
During the Darbar the jawans also put-forth their personal as well as collective grievances before the ADGP Armed, who very patiently heard them. The Darbar concluded with a vote of thanks presented by Rajinder Kumar-Dy CO, JKAP-7th Bn.
