JAMMU, May 26: The district committee, Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh All Departments’ Clerical Staff Association (ADCSA), Jammu today held a two-hour protest demonstration at DC Office complex in support of their demands.
Addressing the protesting employees, district president, Yash Paul Sharma, condemned the anti-employees and anti-workers policies of the State Government, which he alleged after reaching a number of agreements with representatives of clerical cadre, failed to concede their genuine demands.
He also flayed the Government for its step motherly treatment to the clerical as well as statistical cadre and demanded the Government to remove pay anomalies while granting the pay scale of Rs 4000-6000 to Junior Assistant, Rs 4500-7000 to Senior-Assistant and Rs 5500-9000 to Head Assistant notionally with effect from January 1, 1996 and monetarily with effect from February 19, 2003, as has already granted in favour of other cadres.
Provincial president, Ravi Singh Bhau said, “As the Model Code of Conduct is over now, we appeal the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah to intervene personally to remove pay anomalies in the pay structure (5th Pay Commission) of the clerical cadre. He said there is no logic to keep it pending when the convener, Pay Anomaly Committee (Commissioner Secretary, Finance, J&K Govt)  has already submitted its report to the State Government.
