JAMMU, July 5: Adbi Kunj today held a very special literary meet at its literary centre, Talab Tillo, here wherein it celebrated the birthday of its pioneer and founder president Sham Talib, an eminent literary and social personality of the State.
This meet was presided over by a noted Urdu poet S Malik Singh Wafa while a prominent social personality Dr Ashwani Jojra was the chief guest whereas Miss Preeti Kashyap was the special guest.
In the opening session Aarash Dalmotra while greeting Sham Talib and highlighted his contribution towards the foundation and upliftment of the organization. He also remembered contribution of Talib for promotion of Urdu language in the State. Speaking on the occasion the other speakers included Malik Singh Wafa, Dr Ashwani Jojra, ML Gangoo Frisal, Bishan Dass Khak, Fozia Mughal Zia and Santosh Nadan also threw light on the different aspects of the literary journey of Sham Talib.
In the creative session (Prose) Aarash Om Dalmotra read out a special Urdu paper on the different shades of the shining literary personality of Sham Talib titled “Adbi Kunj Aur Sham Talib”. Sham Talib also read out his Urdu short story Ajanabi.
In the poetic session various poets recited their special verses in different languages. In the meet an usual Tarhi Misra was selected for the month of July 2017 “Hai Yaqin Mujh Ko Bhi Meri Zindagi Mil Jaye Gi”. The opening verses of Dr Ashwani Jojra were Socha Hai Kai Bar Bade Gour Se Maine Wabasta Kiya Yeh Kis Dor Se Maine. The other poets of the session were Aarash Dalmotra, Malik Singh Wafa, Fozia Mughal Zia, Santosh Nadan, Preeti Kashyap, Bishan Dass Khak, Sanjeev Kumar, M L Ganjoo Frisal, S K Gupta, Rajeev Kumar, Ved Uppal, P L Parihar, Raz Reyaz Sohil, Vinod Katib and Sham Talib. The meet came to end with the vote of thanks by Adbi Kunj chairman Aarsh Om Dalmotra.
