LEH, Feb 2: Tundup Namgyal, Assistant Director Tourism, Zanskar, has been placed under suspension by the Administration of Union Territory of Ladakh for not providing any proof of his contribution for the promotion of Tourism in Zanskar region.
According to an order in this regard, the officer had not submitted any progress report to the higher authorities in the last two years and he also failed to submit reply to the show cause notice to him to explain his position on the matter.
“The officer has failed to submit the reply to the show cause notice within the prescribed time limit, which has been viewed seriously and therefore, pending inquiry into his conduct, Tundup Namgyal, Assistant Director Tourism, Zanskar, is hereby placed under suspension with immediate effect,’ read the Government order number 13-LA/TRM/UTL of 2020, dated 25-01-2020.
During the period of suspension, Namgyal will remain attached with the Director Tourism UT-Ladakh while the Assistant Director Tourism, Kargil will look after the routine work of Assistant Director Tourism, Zanskar, in addition to his own duties.
